V magazine amped up their annual music issue with four femme fatales. Inducting Solange,V V Brown,Cassie and Jojo into their wings ,the magazine explored these fantastic foursome about their upcoming images,inspirations and future musical efforts. Peep the excerpts of the interviews below...

Cassie on her new sound and image: “In my video we called it ‘giving ’90s supermodel.’ It’s the perfect definition of who I am right now and what I’m going through. People aren’t going to expect me to come out with what I have.”

JoJo on being a voice for her generation:
“I love Britney Spears and Madonna and Lady Gaga. I love pop music, those big pop records, but I still want it to feel like my sound. I hope people feel like, ‘Damn, that’s exactly what I’m going through, that’s what I’m thinking but I wasn’t sure how to put it into words.’ I want to sing what people are thinking and feeling. I want it to be the soundtrack to their lives.”

Solange on her new music:
“My references for the record were all Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, not just their typical Janet and Prince stuff, but SOS Band and their b-sides with Chaka Khan. At first the songs were really dark because I had a premonition before the record that I was going to die. I was having panic attacks and wiling out.”

V V Brown on her sophomore album Lollipops and Politics:
“My second album has a message: it’s about my generation and things going on in the world. But I didn’t want it to come across preachy. I love writing upbeat songs with darker undertones.”

I can't wait to hear this Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis feel on Solanges upcoming album ...it's a very different direction unlike any other artists 'new sound'.

Video Premiere: Beyonce 'Party'

Staying true to the rumor that a video treatment will coordinate with every track from her critically acclaimed 4th album...Bey has released her sixth video for the old skool hip-hop track 'Party' with a new guest star replacing Andre 3ooo contribution on the original.
J.Cole (who's on her hubbies payroll) takes the place of Andre with a brief yet dope feature which is now being helmed as the remix version. J.Cole stated earlier this week that he recorded two different verses (one long, the other short) for Bey before the album was released. Instead,Bey opted for Andre's verse and decided to use Coles version on the remix.How sweet. Get yo invite to the 'Party' below...

The video explored and exceeded my expectations .Backyard banter,red cups,Solo DJ'n,kiddie pools,old skool dance steps,african american trailer park,grass,ike & tinas king size headboard,matty weaves,bubbles,thrift store clothes gave me complete oxygen(LIFE). The zany atmosphere and relunctant cameos was THE overall splendeforous camaraderie that deems magical.....My only disappointment is the blatant lack of choreography. C'mon Bey....party....jammin...you,solange & kellz..i expected a subdued mellow version of a 'Get Me Bodied' revamp. But I guess this will do...

I would have shitted in my Ben Sherman khakis if I would see the cultivating camaraderie of my Sol-angel and my fundamental Fenty in one room,kanoodling and kee-kee'n with the best of them.I would die...Just die.PAUSE. After the paramedics revive me I was graced with this one photo of this mystical union.Love-I did that!

Solange performs new music from upcoming album!

 My belle Solange tipped out last night at Elle's Women In Music concert.The young talented singer performed some material from her upcoming album due out later this year.Solo's fashion is always forward and imperative.Pimping two costume changes,she gave 7o's Bohemian chic.Love her dynamic.It's so appreciated.

Look like she rocked it Knowles style.I don't see the Hadley Street Dreams anywhere.Guess she's not using them this season.

My angel-la-mode Solange was ever exuberant on the red carpet in West Hollywood at the premiere of Victoria Secrets Swim Collection.Solange exuded the 7o's with a sported her soft fro,ethnic printed boustier and flared canary yellow bell pants.Her older sibling was giving the same elude yesterday in Jersey for a photoshoot.I'll drink to that!

 My Sol-angel ,Solange has teamed up with Twin Shadows X Chris Taylor to record a charitable track entitled Kenya.Proceeds from the song will go to help African countries in the liked of Uganda,Cameroon and Rwanda.Nevertheless,its ALWAYS a immense pleasure to see this supernova in her essence:singing.Peep the inspirational music video below + behind the scenes footage.

 

DC's temporary reunite///

The vintage Destiny's Child gathered for a rare sighting for Valentines day for Kelly's 3oth birthday.They dined at a sheek restaurant in West Hollywood.I would have loved to be a fly on the wall gathering up the official girl talk that I'm sure was in high effect at the table.Solange tagged along as well with her braids in a scarf + shades.Love her.Now we need a reunion album from the threesome.However,that's not happening anytime soon with Bey releasing an album this year and her reign usually lasts for 2 years.
