Fundamental Fenty has finally released the visuals on her 5th single for the interpretive 'Man Down'. She pulled the expertise from her favorite music video director Anthony Mandler and gave him permission to release all his inhibitions on set.The video relies on the majestic rawness and griminess of Jamaica for a backdrop as the red haired maven delivers a very meaningful and poignant message in the risky video.Beautifully done.Peep the radical video below.
SN:The only vice I have about this video is the lack of choreo.I thought that this video would've relied heavily on a very elongated dance routine with some hip thrusts and Sean Paul-ish dutty whines.Oh well. However, this video and it's message is very strong and direct.Cinematography-AMAZING! The storyline was well executed as well as Rihanna's character.I'm sure it will be another one of Rhi's videos that will be banned and or censored.Anthony Mandler really outdid his self with this production, one of his best yet.It was like mini movie reminiscent of Drakes 'Find Your Love' (another video that Anthony Mandler directed). The emerging from the dark with her 'Peggy Sue' and that distraught look on her face sold me everything I came for today. This is the best video this 'Loud' season from Ms.Fenty.Hands down.
