Scream 4 :Movie Review

"One thing about remakes,you don't fuck with the original!" ,was a paramount line in Scream 4 delivered by the modern day Laurie Strode of the Scream franchise,Neve Campbell bka Sydney Prescott.This saying serves to be apparent seeing that this 4th feature succeeded its original predecessor. Upon hearing about the green lighting of another Scream installment I was a bit skeptical. Films 2 & 3 didn't peak an incredible interest as the originality and rawness of the original,(except for Scream 2's opening sequence with a slain Jada Pinkett..I LOVE).However,this 4th insert was EVERYTHING.It took Wes Craven 1o years to get the formula correct.With new faces,even better plot and familiar tactics induced with hyper suspense thrillism,I think this installment of Scream was extremely well executed.What Scream 2 & 3 lacked was the foundation and camaraderie of where all the murder magic began,in Woodsboro.Those movies also escalated further and further away from the most affluent, impressionable demographic:High School pubescent.It explored more into college horror (Scream 2)and Hollywood movie within movies(Scream 3).Scream 4 took us back to the source of what made this franchise so paramount in horror movie culture and revamped it for the newer generation.It was truly a remake reupholstered  into something sickeningly refreshing.

 Using same character dialogue from the original and using some of today's trendiest actors (Hayden Pannetiere,Adam Brody,Emma Roberts(loved!!),Rory Culkin(so cute),Kristen Bell & Anna Paquin) finalized this film to a revitalization of THE  horror movie cliche that today's teen horror is lacking.This reboot served up with characters that we've grown to love saturated with the horror movie dweebs that we gravitate towards,sprinkled with even gorier killing sequences and wrapped it up with the most juiciest,unexpected twist ending that we will have you saying....

Overall,Scream 4 will make you fall in love with the genuine meaning of relative horror.I give it a A-.Don't let anyone spoil the ending for you.Slap the shit out of them if they even try.
