Jennifer Hudson 'I Remember Me' Album Review

I'm pleasantly pleased on Jennifer Hudson's sophomore effort. It speaks indefinite volumes.Unlike her debut album,I Remember Me serves as a poignantly refreshing musical treat and explores more indignantly on subjects that her previous album failed to accommodate. The musical reformation on this album is aesthetically youthful and genuinely upbeat.I'm so in love with it,this is the coveted r&b album I've been waiting on this season. The album opens with No One Gonna Love You, an Elton John inspired piano intro leading into a note by note sung arrangement by Hudson singing willfully about a dude who's running from her love. It's repetitiveness on words and beat is an exceptional track to start the album off with.J.Hud sings, "Don't you dare send me straight to voicemail, babe I'm just gone text you..".That's just one of many tracks that is sure to peak radio volumes everywhere. On the drum ridden melodic track,Angel,Jennifer sings with such soulful benevolence on esteemed praise of self-notoriety on a inspirational love. Also,it doesn't hurt that Alicia Key's penned and produced the track. The song is radiance to the ears. The title track,I Remember Me is a anthem on knowing your true self and never leaving it behind. It's the truth. She belts, "I'll tell you what my name is,aint nothing gone change it.Cause what you are is what you are.Even if your memories scarred"This is the type of track that gives you confirmation on life and just existing in the ultimate entity: yourself. It's the TRUTH.Songs like Everybody Needs Love,Feeling Good & Don't Look Down gives you the most amazing feeling.Melodic rhythms, blaring trumpets and soulful riffs are deeply embedded within these spasmodic tracks full of gutsy vocals and inspirational messages.Their remarkable. Why Is It So Hard,at first, sounded like Jordin Sparks Battlefield with the percussion patterns but it slowly changed my perception when Hudson's vocals and attitude driven lyrics blared through my speakers preaching about the hardships of a relationship and questioning the arduous dynamics of it. This song SPEAKS to me,it's so relevant.Jeniffer speaks ,"This is the one time i don't care about the easy way...".She sings my mantra. C'mon Jeniffer!
The album starts to take a change of direction with more subdued slower songs that Jennifer is most recognized for.Still Here is about lost love.I can't help but to apply this song to Jennifer's loss of her mother and nephew. The emotion is obviously saturated in this track. It's both moving & compelling. The last track on the album deserves to be in it's place because if this track was at the start of the album then I would've screamed and been done with this album .Hudson didn't abandon her soulfulness of that gospel roar. The track Believe tells a story, and stories in sung effort are ALWAYS superb in my opinion. It's identifies as that Sunday morning song you listen to on the way to church on the highway with a Sausage McBisquit  in your lap rushing to get a good parking spot. The organ and choir is always needed with such a strong voice as hers. This song confirmed that Jeniffer deserves all the accolades and is complacent in this industry. She most definitely earns an individualism in a musical podium.
"I Remember Me" was everything that I'd hope it was.Because Jen's first album was a slight disappointment because all of the tracks seemed dated and it seemed that producers didn't know how to categorize her voice.Nevertheless, they finally applied the correct formula and executed a spectacular soulful contemporary  R&B album that applies much faith in defeating the 'sophomore slump'.
My TOP 5 Favorite Tracks:
No One Gonna Love You
Why Is It So Hard
Where You At
Believe
Feeling Good
